Technical and Business Assistance
I have a broad background in DOE technology commercialization and 30 years’ experience in automotive and heavy equipment design, test, manufacturing, and management. I’ve been successful in gaining funding for a broad range of technologies including thermal sciences, water treatment, electronics, power generation, transportation, alternative energy and fuels, and greenhouse gas reduction. Some of the markets we’ve worked in include waste heat recovery, space-based electronics shielding, electric vehicle batteries and power electronics, carbon capture, fuel cells, public water supplies, gas and petroleum, ammonia and hydrogen fuels, and deep science support. I've found that I can develop a fundamental understanding of any technology which allows me the provide the TABA services required.
While I have done TABA work for the USDA, most of my technical background aligns with the DOE. I would like to get into the DOD, NSF, and NASA as the opportunities arise.

I started out as an intern at a college dyno laboratory working for the Gleasman Corp.testing engine oil and coolant for Southwest Research Institute and then worked at their ballistics and explosives range where, among other things, I was the project lead engineer for bird strike testing on the Hawker 4000 and F-16, etc.

I am part of an unincorporated group of commercialization experts called The Syndicate. The founders and invited members have well over 100 years of experience in the business of taking good ideas to market as depicted above. The Syndicate has a presence in the US from coast-to-coast with specialists in grant writing, IP, marketing, sales, market research, manufacturing, entrepreneurship, business acquisition, etc. We pool our talents and tools and form working partnerships for individual projects as needed. We have worked with every U.S. department on SBIR/STTR.
